TRAVEL POST: Gun with the Wind

For the first time, I spent Holy Week sans my family as Coloy, KC and Jmie went to visit our good friend Mikko in Cabanatuan. The whole experience was so fun, which was a far cry from our usual exhausting lives in Manila.  We were able to visit a firing range and shoot some guns. Below are the pictures, I will also try to upload a funny video of me using an M16. Anyway, I hope everyone had a blessed and meaningful week with the Lord. This year, God taught me to be thankful for everything, both the good and the bad. He also made me realize that he is just and forever giving.

One Wish At A Time

Family and friends, I am now officially a Bakal Girl! :)

Yes, I can finally cross out Have Braces from my Bucket List! There's nothing much to say, just want to thank my dear Tita Emy for helping me achieve my goal to fix my teeth. So if you guys are interested too, just shoot me a message and you can also get nicer teeth for a very reasonable affordable price.

Though it is very painful, I am very much happy that I am one step ahead in fixing my poor teeth after years of thumb-sucking. Hence, the pain is something I already expected after having lots of friends with braces who always complain whenever they have theirs adjusted.

Going back to thumb-sucking, not many people are aware that I didn't quit this embarrassing ritual until I was in 5th grade. Me and my siblings used to share this habit every night before we sleep and even while we were sleeping. A habit that explains why I am sungki and my sister Ikay has tooth-gap. Weird enough the habit that did not ruin my brother's, Jay-r has perfect teeth which has always made me envious

So far, it has been 24 hours since I got my bling and I already managed to eat shredded adobo with rice and tortang talong from last night's dinner but still haven't had anything for breakfast today. Ooops! I didn't realize it's already 12:05 PM. Now time to eat some porridge!

Exploring the Queen City of the South

I am currently enjoying my Annual Mandatory Leave from work, which started with a trip to Cebu. Thanks to my dear friend Corie, we've booked the flight as early as  November 2010 during one of Cebu Pacific's promotions so we only paid Php400+ for our round trip tickets. It's sad though that our birthday girl Ghia was not able to come and join us during our pig fest around the cities of Cebu. I'd like to thank our hosts Kuya Lino (Corie's cousin) and his amazing wife Ate Jean for showing us the different sites and making sure that our tummies are full. :)

Let me also share that a wish of mine was granted during this trip and I'd like to thank God for a safe trip back to Manila despite of the scare of cancelling our flight due to Typhoon Pedring.

I can't wait to go back to Cebu and experience it's beautiful beaches.

first stop was the Lapu-Lapu Shrine
Humba - upon arrival we went straight for lunch at Golden Cowrie

shopping for danggit and dried pusit

Boracay: 2nd Time Around

I had my first airplane ride last January of this year going to Boracay with my Best Friend Andrea. She was only in the Philippines for a few weeks so we had to maximize our time. Anyway, I had the pleasure of visiting the wonderful island over the weekend to spend Coloy's 27th birthday along with some of our friends.

For this quick post, I just want to share with you the new and improved Boracay Airport. I find it amazing to experience a big difference in just a span of 8 months.
